Most of the expensive problems we see began as a clause nobody read or a filing nobody made. We would rather charge you for an hour now than for a year of litigation later.

How an engagement works
You will know
the cost before
we start.
No open-ended retainers by default. Every engagement begins with a written scope and a price, and you are told the moment either needs to change.
First consultation
Thirty minutes with the lawyer or accountant who would actually handle the matter — not an intake clerk.
Assessment
We read the documents and tell you what your position really is, including when it is weaker than you hoped.
Scope & fee proposal
A written engagement letter: what we will do, who does it, what it costs and by when.
The work
Progress updates at agreed points — and immediately if anything changes the answer or the price.
Closing
A closing note with what was done, what you now hold, and what will need watching next year.
Selected matters
Anonymised — because that is the point.
A distributor stopped paying after eleven deliveries and disputed the quality of all of them. We filed, secured the claim over their receivables, and settled before the second hearing once the evidence was in front of them.
A second-generation owner sold to a strategic buyer. Our accountants ran the financial due diligence while our lawyers papered the share deal, so the numbers in the contract matched the numbers in the books.
A fire loss was declined on an exclusion clause the insurer had never raised at underwriting. We commissioned an independent loss assessment and re-argued the claim on the wording.
A subsidiary of a foreign group faced a revenue audit with an incomplete documentation file. We rebuilt the file, benchmarked the intra-group pricing, and defended it through the audit.

The firm
Regulated, insured,
and confidential.
The unglamorous part of choosing an adviser: who regulates them, what happens if they get it wrong, and where your documents live.
